About us

Hands Bridge is a charitable nonprofit organization founded in 2022, after Russia's attack on Ukraine, by a small group of people who gathered at protests in state of Maryland and Washington, D.C. All team members and founders have personal connections to Ukraine, and are deeply devoted to helping its people and families.

We pay special attention to Ukrainian Refugees who came to state of Maryland after February 24, or those involved in the government program Uniting for Ukraine. We work closely with state and local authorities, as well as local Ukrainian officials to guarantee that 100% of the money donated is sent directly to refugees.

Raising Awareness

Holding rallies and cultural events to raise awareness of Ukraine's struggle for freedom and independence.
We are a grassroots, volunteer organization which also help with rebuilding and restoration East of Ukraine, especialy   the first capital  and boarder city - Kharkov.

We have developed excellent working relationships with Ukrainian Univercities, schools, student organizations and associations. This allows us to  know all reall situation in bomb shelters and quickly react and support  them .
With hope for the future, our organization, together with the Ukrainian Pedagogical Academy, has developed a plan to renew the student infrastructure  in Kharkov.

We continue to work tirelessly for Ukraine in these extremely difficult times and want to thank all of our donors for their trust and support!

The war began in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, and resulted in civilian casualties and the destruction of civilian infrastructure, forcing people to leave their homes in search of safety, protection and assistance. In the first five weeks, more than four million refugees from Ukraine crossed the border into neighboring countries, and many more were forced to move within the country. They need protection and support. In light of the emergency and the scale of the humanitarian needs of refugees from Ukraine, an interagency regional refugee response is underway to support the efforts of refugee-hosting countries.
