OUR GOAL
Hands Bridges’s operational activities is devoted to providing immediate assistance to those fleeting the war, as well as laying out the groundwork for sustainable, long term solutions. Our goal is to build up our community and bring peace to those who need it most now. We work to defend people wherever they are denied justice, freedom, truth and dignity.
We work closely with state and local authorities, as well as local Ukrainian partners.
Each person who came to the United States for different reasons has their unique story. And I am no exception! I have been dreaming of visiting this incredible country since childhood. But there were a lot of obstacles - visa restrictions; my father was bedridden for a long time ... And only after he passed was I able to get out immediately to Spain, and then with the help of Yuri Kovalenko's foundation - to the USA! I learned about these wonderful people from my friends. This foundation helped them to evacuate from Ukraine due to the Russian invasion! When I found out about this opportunity, I did not hesitate for a minute to fulfill my old dream of getting to the USA, but now with my beloved family! I am grateful to the foundation and Yuri personally for the kindness and recommendation of an excellent sponsor, initial adaptation in the USA, and support from the first minutes of my stay here!
